The end of the year is fast approaching, and we’re right in the middle of one of the busiest seasons. Chances are your patients are filling their days thinking of others and making sure the needs of family and loved ones are being met—but taking care of their own needs may get lost in the shuffle. You can help remind them why December is actually a great time to put their health first.
Why it pays to act now
Many patients may have reached their health insurance deductibles by December. While purchasing tangible healthcare products such as eyeglasses and medical equipment may come to mind, patients may not realize they could also be scheduling important gynecologic care before the end of the year.
If you have patients who are suffering from fibroids or abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB), a reminder from you about the possible financial benefits of scheduling that treatment this month may help them commit to the care they deserve.
Ways to connect with your patients

Website/Portal/EMR system
Post an update to your website homepage about the importance of scheduling care in December. Messages on your patient portal or electronic medical records system are also an effective way to communicate with patients.
However, keep in mind that only those patients who are visiting these platforms will see the information. For a time-sensitive issue such as this, you’ll want to also push your message directly to your patients via email and social media posts, as outlined below.
